SCOUTING FOR GIRLS are yet another independent rock band from England that has managed to capture my attention recently, with their self-titled album containing some of the catchiest songs I’ve ever heard as of late. Having downloaded their album a long time ago, I only got around to actually listening to the songs over the course of the last six weeks.
I’m happy to say that I’m pleasantly surprised, because I had very low expectations of the band. Their music is a mesh of soft rock and light-hearted pop, encompassing themes such as the experiences of navigating through the early part of a person’s life (basically from childhood to late teenage years). Somehow or rather, a couple of the songs resonate deeply with me… perhaps due to my current mood with regards to certain people in my life.
Anywho, I’d advise you all to give SCOUTING FOR GIRLS a shot, as I’ve seriously not heard any of their material on the radio, which is a fucking shame because the majority of the songs by SCOUTING FOR GIRLS are easily more entertaining than some of the drivel blasting over the airwaves nowadays. Go on, then; what are you waiting for?!
